At FAB UK Academy, we believe that a child’s creative potential is limited only by their imagination. In a world where children are constant consumers of high-end cartoons and professional animations, they often grow up admiring these characters without ever realizing that they, too, can be the creators. We are changing that narrative.
From Consumption to Creation
Most children watch their favorite animations on screen and see them as something finished and unreachable. Our mission is to bridge that gap. We want to show every child that their simple sketches have the power to become “real” 3D characters, just like the ones they see in the cinema. By turning their hand-drawn ideas into professional-style digital art, we empower them to see themselves as the designers of the future.
The Local Community Connection: Café Lemon
Our journey begins in the heart of Tottenham at Café Lemon, which serves as our primary base. We are planning to expand this initiative across local cafés throughout the UK, turning everyday family outings into extraordinary creative workshops.
When families visit Café Lemon with children under the age of 12, they aren’t just getting a snack—they are given a special “My 3D Monster” print-out. This template invites them to design their very own friendly monster, complete with a name and a personality.
The Magic: Bringing Drawings to Life
The most exciting part happens once the drawing is finished. Using the latest AI and 3D modeling technology, we take the child’s original sketch—no matter how simple or “scribbly”—and transform it.
1. 3D Transformation: We reinterpret the hand-drawn lines into a vibrant, Pixar-style 3D character. We maintain the essence of the child’s vision—their chosen colors, unique shapes, and “spikey” or “fuzzy” features—but give them the cinematic polish of a big-budget animation.

2. Interactive Storytelling: We don’t just stop at a still image. We generate video prompts that allow these monsters to “wake up,” speak directly to their creators (using the child’s name), and perform funny actions.
By seeing their “Spikey,” “Ghost,” or “Zog” move and talk, children experience a profound sense of achievement. The My 3D Monster Project isn’t just about art; it’s about proving to the next generation that their imagination is a superpower that can shape the world around them.
